Chipped Teeth, Tonail Fungi, & Long Distance Phone Calls

Okay... first, I am just relating my experiences over the last 5 days. These "experiences" while not enjoyable pale in comparison to things others are currently going through.

Please pray for:
  • My "grandma" (adopted from church) has a respiratory infection which is causing a delay in her angiogram & surgery.
  • Two of my friends in Hawaii have children dealing with some severe health issues.
  • Financial burdens to be lifted off the shoulders of friends in Maryland.
  • Our small group mentor's son recently suffered a concussion & has 4 staples in his head.
So, as I was saying... just a re-cap.

----------------------------------------

It always seems like things happen when Quinn is gone. For example, getting snowed in for 3 days while he was doing a boot camp, or the toilet clogs up while he's on 24hr duty, although the best one has to be the maintenance guy lighting the house on fire when he was at work.

Within the last 5 days I managed to chip not 1 but 2 teeth (one may have been chipped in Maryland?), spent hours upon hours on the phone with the cable/internet provider, the electricity company, the townhouse management, the post office, and finally the dental provider, and then today I accompanied my mom for her work & to run errands. We took my ring to be cleaned and the lady told us that we really needed to come in twice a year to keep the warranty valid, once I explained the military aspect she said once a year would be okay. However, after that she told us that my center diamond (grandpa's) wouldn't be replaced if it was lost/damaged! The only reason the ring was purchased there is because they said it would be, otherwise we could have got the ring at a more national chain so it could be taken care of more often... so we'll be going over the paperwork in detail before we pick up my newly dipped & polished ring on Saturday! Then we went to my mom's job at the medical clinic and one of the lady's saw my toe and said it looks like I have a fungus infection and to be careful because they can spread from toe-to-toe and even fingernails. EW! But, I've had the weird markings on my toenail since the summer, I thought maybe I dropped something on it and damaged it? Well she said some fungi don't go away unless you use topical treatments... gah.

----------------------------------------

So I pray you're having a good, safe, & healthy week!
I need to find a dentist and maybe an over the counter toenail cream?

Some Coyote Lovin'

One of Lex's friend managed to score us free lower level seats for last night's Coyotes game... they beat the Thrashers 4-3, it was an intense game to say the least! We had a blast and really enjoyed taking photos with my Rebel =)

View from our seats... 7th row, crazy!

Get him Hanzal!
{This guy is 6'6" 230lbs & only 23yrs old... in Alexis' words: "I bet he tried to play basketball first, he's HUGE for a hockey player!"}

Post goal celebration.... H-O-W-L-!

Jovanovski & Fiddler are missing quite a few teeth!

Our favorite guy to take photos of - Bryzgalov ... GO BRYZ!

Thanks Lex!

My parents love me:

I love my husband:

My husband loves me:

I hope you all remember that you are loved no matter what! God will never leave you or forsake you, His love is unconditional, all you have to do is reach out and accept it.

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

Our MD House

The house was emptied by the moving company, our keys have been turned in, the walk-thru completed, and it's funny... I miss "our" house. Obviously it was just a rental, a temporary place to stay, but it was the first house Quinn and I lived in together... I thought I'd take you on a tour of what it looked like.

First up, the family room:

And now, the dining room:

The kitchen:

The bathroom:

Our Bedroom:

The "guest room" ...aka, man cave, aka craft area, aka MESS:

I have no idea what the new house will look like, but I know what's going inside! I'm hoping we can separate the "man cave/craft area" from the "guest room" ...but ya know, that's asking for a 3 bedroom and Hawaii isn't cheap!

Adios Lake Village, it's been real!
