Easter & a Proposal

Easter started off early... we met Adrien and walked down to Ft. Hase Beach for the annual sunrise service, it was beautiful just like the two years prior! We enjoyed the hula and the short message... "He has risen... He has risen indeed!" We grabbed some quick photos then headed back home for a nap before attending our church's service. It was a bit over the top for us... extremely loud, dancers, crazy use of the fog machine, and a neon cross... I love my church but that was, well, maybe next year? After church we headed to the Johnson's house for our "mini church potluck." We couldn't stay very long though... other events were stirring...

We rushed down to Kualoa Ranch and headed out to the sugar mill which the guys had "reserved to throw us ladies an Easter Egg hunt." They went off to hide the eggs and us girls chit chatted (it was really hard though!), once they got back they told us it was a special egg hunt because the golden egg contained a very special prize and who ever got it would win the entire game no matter who had the most eggs. Talk about motivation - except for the fact that 3 out of the 4 of us knew where it was hidden...

After the guys declared we had found all the eggs we came back to count them up for second place... once Kaci's turn came up we forced her to open the golden egg because we wanted to know why it was "so special." When she opened it all she saw was tissue and said, "gross, is this a joke, what's in here?!" she actually threw it on the ground and it took everything we had to not say anything other than "come on, we want to know!" Then she saw the sparkle... and the rest is history.
