Ohio Trip!

On Thursday the 8th we headed off to Kettering, OH to visit Quinn's family and friends, it was a full trip!

Friday night we went to the FRAZE outdoor pavilion to watch McGuffey Lane in concert. We only made it to intermission though because it started pouring! We ended up going to Buffalo Wild Wings since we don't one close to us here in MD.

Saturday we found ourselves at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The museum there is amazing... so much history!

This plane dropped the bomb on Nagasaki

That evening we ended up going out with his friends, we enjoyed putt-putt and Superman ice cream (Quinn's childhood favorite, we haven't been able to find the real thing anywhere else, it seems to be a mid-west thing. TCBY has a version of it called Rainbow Cream but it's just not the same)

Monday we headed down to Newport Kentucky to visit the aquarium, sadly we got stuck in traffic and missed the live penguin parade =( After the aquarium we went to Star Lanes and got 2 lunches, 2 unlimited fountain drinks, 2 pairs of bowling shoes, and 2 games for $8.00! Some crazy special they were running to help get people in during lunch time.

That evening we were treated by Quinn's grandparents at the Oakwood Club, the food was absolutely amazing!

So that was a condensed version of our trip. We aren't sure if/when we'll get to go back with a possible upcoming deployment and then PCSing next year. Life is going to get interesting very soon!

Wow, I remember many summer trips to Wright Patterson Air Force Base and Museum with Uncle Chuck we would spend the better part of the day there, the pilot in me I guess.

Love you, Dad
