Day #28
"Cup"
Styrofoam in Hawaii confuses us, considering the state is doing away with plastic grocery bags (in some places you are charged $0.05 per bag), has a recycling deposit on aluminum, plastic, and glass beverage containers, and is all about sustainable/renewable resources. Many places have switched over to biodegradable containers, and most (Jamba Juice included) sell re-usable BPA free plastic cups. We're just waiting to see when styrofoam is done away with or we start getting charged for it too!
Jamba Juice is tasty, refreshing, and healthy... but not good for our wallets. Every now and then we treat ourselves. I got the Aloha Pineapple (pink) and Quinn enjoyed the Mango-a-go-go (orange). The sad thing is, depending on which smoothie you choose $3-4 is actually a good deal for all the produce inside it, at least here in Hawaii!
See the rest here.

The only positive to Styrofoam is your drink stays way cooler than a plastic or paper cup. The downside is the disposal of them.
